Sadfully the vocals are taken from a sample-library, but i hope to work with some tallented vocal-artists in near future :)

Wanted to tell you about a site i've been working on these past weeks.
The site is to be a indie-music service, intended to give indieartists a higher chance of getting a name for themselves on the internet.

Simply visit http://www.newtrackz.com type in your favourite music-genre and press search.

You can also specify if you want to get the hottest music from this: day,week,month or year in your search.

I can also tell you about a little search command, which might grant you even better music for your taste.

If you write your music-genre in the search-field, you can also put in a second music-genre by putting a , between the two. So for instance, if i'd like to get the best from electro and still get results from house. I only have to write electro,house to get that result :)

Windows Server 2008 R2 / Windows 7 Freezing Hanging?!

If you are an Asus-motherboard user, then this thread is problaby something for you. Might work for other motherboard users aswell.

I just recently went ahead and bought a OCZ Vertex 2 SSD Harddrive which i intended to use as system-drive and DAW drive. This to mainly reduce the time needed to restart my computer, and more so, start up my DAW faster. I've been running Windows Vista(happy user still). Now however, i decieded to use Microsoft Dreamspark to download Windows Server 2008 R2, and trim it to work as a workstation.

I went ahead and did so, it worked very well, til the very moment my computer just started randomly freeze/hang completely. It did not flash me a BSOD or anything, just simply froze/hang in the middle of my producing sessions.

"Why is this happening on my newly bought Drive and newly installed Operating System" was my first thought. I backtracked everything from Vista and tried running my other Vista-partition for awhile to see if i could get it to hang there aswell. The result on the old Vista-installation was no freeze/hang.

I then decieded to buy Windows 7, to get myself a clean workstation. Just to be met by the same hang/freeze at random times.

I noticed quickly that my computer hang whenever the harddrive/fans was spinning down after they had been used. I then realized that ACPI is controlling the power-saving features on motherboards, and went ahead checking ASUS Support page for new drivers. I found two, and when i installed them the freeze/hang situation has completely vanished.

There are two here drivers which you should install,if you find them in their "Download" section.

Choose motherboard on Products.
Choose your motherboard-serie
Choose your model.

Then try find the drivers.

One is located under the ATK-tree.
The second one is located under the Utilities-tree.


ALSO

If this does not work for you, and you're using a Asus Graphics card.
I can also suggest you visit http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us and choose the following:

Choose Graphics Card on Products.
Choose your Graphics-serie (for me it was NVIDIA)
Choose your model (for me it was EN8800).

Choose your operating system (for me it was Windows 7 64bit)

Then download drivers that are dated before 2010.

Like this one

Press the + next to VGA and if you can, download this version: 190.45 of the NVIDIA drivers.

IMPORTANT

Before you install these drivers, make sure you go into your Device Manager, and uninstall your current Display adapter (for me it was NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT)

reboot your computer, and when you
've done that, install your newly downloaded 190.45 Asus NVIDIA Driver.


If this still does not work

There seems to be some issues with using the inbuilt network-card of some Asus motherboards and uTorrents latest version.

Meaning if you are running uTorrent and Windows 7 with a Asus inbuilt network card on the mobo, it might freeze.

I personally had a Atheros L1 and what i did was to visit http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atheros.htm and downloaded the driver from there.

Additionally you might have to turn of Task Offload on the driver.Go into driver properties in Device Manager on your network-card, click Advanced / Task Offload, and turn this feature off.

Hope this works out just aswell as it worked out for me!

Möjligheten att faktiskt bygga en DAW som enbart körs med Javascript och din browser
blir också möjligt. Ja, ni förstår säkert hur stort detta är.

Hur jag skall förklara hur exalterad jag är, går inte riktigt!
Det som gör detta möjligt är att det använder sig av öppna standarder så som
Vorbis.

Men nu finns det ingen anledning att använda Flash, verkligen inte.
Inte för mig i alla fall. Möjligheterna som öppnades för mig idag, är oändligt stora!
